Some people say you’ve changed. But what if you’ve changed into the person that you really are, and what you were before was just a facade, an acting? What if you were just pretending all along, and now you’re just tired and want to be real? But they tell you they prefer the “old” you, because that’s how they know you by. They prefer the “old” you because that’s who they are more comfortable with. Isn’t that a bit selfish, for them to deny you your freedom to just be you? Aren’t they happy that you’re finally trying to be what you really are? When people say you’ve changed, they don’t stop and think that maybe you’re just finally coming out of your shell.
